Jose was born and raised in Lima, Peru and moved to England when he was eight years old. He completed his schooling there at boarding school and then went on to study architecture at Lehigh University, in Pennsylvania and Columbia University in New York.
He worked for several years in New York on large residential rehab projects at Stephen Jacobs and Associates. He moved to Barcelona for one year, working there with Josep Lluis Mateo, and then onto Miami, working on various commercial and residential projects with The Architecture Workshop as well as Corbanca. After 30 years of living abroad, Jose moved to Lima, bringing the variety and experience of his multicultural life to his work in Peru. |

Carol lived in rural Pennsylvania until the age of 23. From “the early to bed early to rise” world, Carol went on to study architecture at Lehigh University, in Pennsylvania and Columbia University in New York, receiving many distinguished academic awards.
During and after university studies, Carol worked for various architecture firms in Pennsylvania and New York, managing several residential and commercial projects. In 1989, Carol moved to Barcelona to work with Josep Lluis Mateo, and then onto Miami, where she taught architecture at FIU, and worked with Jose on various projects. In Miami, Carol was the Chairperson of The Miami Design Alliance, a group that promoted good design awareness to a broad audience. Carol has adopted Peru as her home, bringing her rich vision of design and enthusiasm to the architecture world in Lima. |
